Festival AVE BOHEMIA is a chance for all creative people
to show their art and talent and to visit a beautiful
city of Prague.
AVE BOHEMIA festival takes place twice a year in Prague, Czech Republic, during spring and autumn school holidays. Its sole aim is to bring young artists from various countries together in one place, no matter if they are art students or young people who devote themselves to art as their free time activity. The festival comprises of dance, singing, music or theatre and visual arts. For participants, who come from abroad, these events serve as an opportunity to learn about Prague and its history, as there is always educational and entertaining program prepared. All participants are provided with premises at their disposal for rehears of the stage performances for the competition day and the final gala evening.
The competition takes place under supervision of expert jury, artists and teachers who have reached peak in their profession back home and abroad, evaluating anonymously the performances using 10 points scale, which is later elaborated further via computer program. In each category, participants may become laureates or diploma holders. However the emphasis in not on receiving a prize but on shared experience of working together and finding new friends. Most advanced pieces are chosen by the jury and subsequently presented at the final gala evening, which is open to the participants and public at large. In the past years hundreds of children and young people from Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia or Germany have already participated in the festival.
What does AVE BOHEMIA offer as a part of the festival?
Accommodation in Prague hotels, stage with professional covering and dressing-rooms, contest and final gala concert which is held in central Prague theaters. Vocal, choreographic and fine art workshops. Cultural program for participants during which they will visit theaters, performances and main sights in Golden Prague.
