Jean Pierre AviotteGraduated at Dance Conservatory in Nice. He continued his studies at the Rossell Hightower International Dance Centre in Cannes and started his career as an excellent dancer. In 1982 he became a soloist in the Roland Petit National Ballet in Marseilles. During this time he also danced in the La Scala in Milan, the Opera in Rome, the Metropolitan opera in New York and the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. His career as a choreographer started in April 1988 in performance Tout Satie. His first ballet, Birdy with Julio Bocca and Alessandra Ferri, had premiere in September 1990 in Buenos Aires. In 1996 he became an art director of Laterna Magika in Prague. In 1999 he founded Companie COMMUN – INSTANT. With french elegance, charm and personal invention, he is able to imprint a poetic aspect, encoded in gesture and pace, to his choreography, allowing us to perceive the dance as a graceful and “pure act of metaphor”.
