Born in Bochan, Russia.
After finishing her studies at the State Ballet School she danced with the Buryat State National Theatre of Song and Dance Baikal and the Koryat State Ensemble Mängo.
She also studied choreography and pedagogy of dance at the Moscow university and Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS).
1988 – 90 taught Svetlana as a guest docent at the Ballet School of the State Ensemble of Folk Dances of the USSR. Then she taught as a pedagogue for dance, rhythmic gymnastics and gymnastics in the state school in Odessa.
She gained success in main parts of many films, both as actress and dancer, among others in the three-part production White Shaman, which won Grand Prix at the international festival of television films Golden Prague.
From 1992 she studied Eurhythmy in Munich and Stuttgart and from 1996 to 1998 she was a member of Else Klink Ensemble with whom she made lots of tours through many foreign countries.
From 1996 to 2004 worked as docent in the Theatre Academy in Stuttgart.
From 1999 to 2008 worked as artistic director of the Esslingen Central Theatre.
Since 2001 she works as a dance and ballet pedagogue in the Ballet School Khinganskiy.
